Weipar Lake

So Salzburg is great, One day you can go skiing on a glacier, the next day you can to a Nude Lake and enjoy 70 degree weather. Not a bad life heh...?

Despite going to the Lake we are all very white.....
The colors of this water is spectacular
Walking around this peaceful lake. The further you go back in the Lake and park the less clothes people wear. Also, the older people get haha....So it was a little difficult cropping this picture if you know what I mean.

 Me getting sunburnt once again
Oh yeah and they have a ropes course here as well....

Kiltzsteinhorn Skiing

I got to ski at this resort which happens to be a glacier which means it moves a couple inches a year. I am pretty sure you can ski on this mountain 12 months out of the year. You have to be really careful though because if you go off the trail in the powder in what could look like a blue or grey spot, it is a crevis (spelling?). Which means it the part of the glacier that has cracked from the movement and extra soft snow has fallen in to fill it. The scary part is that no one really can tell for sure how deep the crevis is. So if you hit this blue or grey spot you sink like quick sand, and rescue is nearly impossible. Well I am writing this so I am ok haha.

You can see the path of the glacier as well as the little reservoirs of lakes it has left along its path.

Bratislava, Slovakia 2011

Downtown Bratislava. A lot has changed since the fall of the Soviet regime. And Slovakia has largest growing economy of all the previously occupied Soviet Nations.
Slovakian Shishkebabs. The sauce draped over the top taste like buffalo wing sauce.
After the fall of Soviets, The town looked very pale and without character so in 1998 they decided to randomly put up these random Statues giving people a sense of friendly Bratislavan people waling the streets and enjoying the city with you haha.

An example of what people drink in paper bags here. These are plastic bottles. too haha

Oh yeah you can get a six pack of these as well haha.

 The Danube River
 A post office box
A monument for their 1989 uprising  to soviets which failed though
A soviet church that reminded me something out of Alice in Wonderland.
 Inside the church
By far the best thing I had in Bratislava. A shepards bag. A potatoe pancake, wraped with lamb, mushrooms, tomatoe, salt, and chicken broth with sheep's cheese, and parsely on top
So on my way home I got loss with the trains but found the Sein Lake. This boat is a restaurant and also turns into an outdorr theater.

The Salzburg Castle

The eerie tunnels to the main courtyard to the Castle courtyard
This is a view of the Castle courtyard. The castle has taken on 400 years of continual rebuilding and expanding as the population got bigger and the need to defend from imperial powers became greater.

Here are some board games they played. Hey dad they got your favorite game.

An exhibit that shows the armery of the soldiers of the day

Their Royal band played very similar instruments

And also very strange instuments

These are punishment masks that citizens were forced to wear. A pig for greed, another for loss of virginity, and another for lying.

A view that the Canon has of the city

Franziska and Victoria came to see the game but due to the rain it was postponed unfortunatley. Great to see you guys

Another general view of the city from the Castle. Urban planning for the city was done from similar viewpoints of the city.

Kitzbuhl Skiing

Here is a little video giving you an example of what Austrian Skiing is like... Haha

Arno and I on an amazing day of skiing.

I went Skiing at a resort called Kitzbuhl. I was able to ski and rent for a total of 40 euros. So cheap...
Nothing to say but just admire the beauty ha.

Here is a video of Austrian Skiing

This is the view of the base of the resort.

Arno......

This is the other side of the mountain. If you carefully, this is a valley. This cable car goes across the entire valley. Its actually quite scary.

Yeah I know I am awesome... HAHA

This ski resort is huge. It takes one hour to get from one side of the mounatain to the other.

A panoramic view

Vienna Vikings

I do not have any pictures of this game and for good reasons.haha. This game got ugly fast. We had a lot of difficulties on Offense which put our Defense in tough spots in the redzone. The end score was 65-7 and there were 5 touchdowns they scored on either on our offense or special teams. However, I ran and caught the ball near the end of the game. I ran for 20 yards on 4 carries and received 3 passes for 40 yards. I think I found a new role. (I am like the bus out here haha). On defense I was recorded by football-austria.at with 5.5 tackles. For some pictures I think you can check out some pictures on football- austria.at. We are getting better with these weeks off and feel more confident with offense, special teams, and defense for the next couple of games. Our next game is this weekend against the Carinthian Black Lions at home.

Watching Cars

I was able to take up this random job counting cars on the street for  100 euros. I was got to sit in front of this view all day long. It was a little cold but the view and the quaint little town were amazing.
